Marsh and Legge strives to remain on the forefront of today’s rapidly changing information technology field. Our office in Winchester Virginia is equipped with a Windows
based server, a combination Web server and FTP server, and 29 Windows based workstations connected to the server
over a high-speed Ethernet network. Each workstation has access to a broadband Internet connection for access to email and the Internet, through our high speed switched network. Data security and network security is achieved through a virtual private network enabled hardware firewall. The
equipment allows our employees to communicate with the office server and network components through the secure virtual private network appliance from remote locations. Our FTP and Web server provides clients with access to work-in-progress and related files through unique passwords.
Document production is achieved with a variety of networked high quality large format plotters, color and monochrome laser and color inkjet printers.
Laptop computers are available to field crews for purposes of performing onsite computations and can be connected via phone line to the Internet for transferring data pertinent to the project. This allows our computer aided drafting team, land surveyors, and technicians to begin work on the project before the field crews return to the office.
Marsh and Legge is committed to utilizing state of the art equipment and technology as it becomes available.
